"Communications Commission" to hold the Communications and Information Technology Indicators Forum next Monday

The Communications and Information Technology Commission announced that it will hold the "Communications and Information Technology Indicators Forum 2021: Digital Economy... Horizons of Opportunity" (virtually), on Monday, 16 Shaban 1442H corresponding to March 29, 2021, with the aim of reviewing and discussing developments in the sectors regulated by the Commission, and the most prominent trends of the digital economy. The Commission holds this forum annually to present all indicators related to the communications and information technology market and the postal market in the Kingdom, which the Communications Commission collects and analyzes through a huge database, and the Commission also hosts a select group of experts and specialists to discuss a range of topics related to these vital sectors.

His Excellency the Governor of the Communications and Information Technology Commission, Dr. Mohammed bin Saud Al-Tamimi, will open this year's edition of the forum, which will focus on the digital economy as a pivotal element of the industry of the future in the Kingdom and the world at large. The forum will also hold a number of dialogue sessions hosting His Excellency Dr. Munir Al-Desouki, Assistant Minister of Communications and Information Technology, and His Excellency Dr. Essam Al-Waqeet, Director of the National Information Center, along with leaders of telecommunications and postal companies in the Kingdom, and experts and specialists in the communications, information technology, and postal sector.

The forum's sessions will discuss topics including: performance indicators for the communications, information technology, and postal sector; the state of the communications and information technology sector post-pandemic; the sector's strategic direction; digital economy policy; and the postal and logistics services sector in the Kingdom and its most prominent opportunities and challenges.
