Communications and Information Technology Commission participates in GITEX Riyadh 2010

The Communications and Information Technology Commission is participating with a dedicated pavilion at GITEX Riyadh 2010, held in the city of Riyadh at the Exhibition Center on King Abdullah Road during the period April 25-29, 2010.

The Commission is participating for the third consecutive time in its capacity as the regulator of the communications and information technology sector, given the attention this exhibition receives at various levels, in addition to the participation of a large number of local and international companies specialized in communications and information technology.

Mr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al-Malik, Director General of Public Relations and International Affairs at the Commission, affirmed that GITEX is one of the largest specialized exhibitions in the communications and information technology sector in the Kingdom, and that, recognizing the importance of this vital sector, which has witnessed steady growth in recent years, the Commission was keen to participate in it to introduce the Commission's tasks, roles, activities, and achievements, and to explain how to obtain licenses for providing communications and information technology services, and to introduce the Commission's efforts in the field of promoting Arabic domain names to serve local and Arab users, as well as to introduce the role played by the National CERT. The Commission, in turn, takes this opportunity to invite visitors to visit its pavilion and learn more about what the Commission does up close.
