"The Communications and Information Technology Commission" Requires Two Parcel Delivery Companies to Compensate a Number of Beneficiaries More Than SAR 145,000

The Communications and Information Technology Commission has required two parcel delivery service providers to compensate a number of beneficiaries with amounts exceeding SAR 145,000, for violating the decisions and instructions set out in the (

Rules for the Protection of Postal Service Beneficiaries' Rights

) document.

The Commission explained that its monitoring teams detected a number of violations committed by the two companies, noting that these violations arose from the two companies imposing undisclosed fees on postal service beneficiaries.

The Commission affirmed the continuation of its inspection and monitoring visits to postal service providers, to ensure their compliance with the Rules for the Protection of Postal Service Beneficiaries' Rights document, detect violations, and take regulatory action against them, so as to guarantee the protection of postal service beneficiaries' rights.

This comes within the framework of "the Communications and Information Technology Commission's" regulatory and supervisory roles over the postal sector in the Kingdom, and its efforts to strengthen mechanisms for protecting beneficiaries and verify the application of regulations and laws.
