"The Communications and Information Technology Commission" Invites the Public to Submit Their Views on the Telecommunications and IT Infrastructure Implementation and Protection Regulations Document

The Communications and Information Technology Commission has invited the public to submit their views on the document "

Regulations for the Implementation and Protection of Infrastructure

," which governs the implementation and protection of telecommunications infrastructure works by setting out a number of obligations to be followed by facilities-based telecom service providers and infrastructure project contractors.

The Commission explained that the document aims to raise the quality of telecommunications and IT infrastructure implementation works, achieve optimal investment of resources allocated to telecom infrastructure facilities, and avoid damage to them, so as to ensure the continuity and quality of telecommunications and IT services.

The Commission also urged the parties targeted by the document — facilities-based telecom service providers and infrastructure project contractors — to take part and submit their views on the document to the Communications and Information Technology Commission no later than August 31, 2022.
