Commission Holds Workshop 'The Listing Journey in the Financial Market for Information Technology Companies' in Cooperation with Tadawul
The Communications and Information Technology Commission held a virtual workshop in cooperation with "Tadawul," titled "The Listing Journey in the Financial Market for Information Technology Companies," in which the workshop addressed the importance and benefits of listing local information technology companies in the main and parallel (Nomu) financial markets, with the aim of developing and regulating the information technology sector, supporting companies operating in this sector, and enhancing fair competition among them.
During the workshop, an introductory overview of the financial market and the parallel market (Nomu) was presented, and light was shed on the advantages and benefits of listing in the financial market. The workshop discussed the impact of listing local information technology companies on the market in enhancing their credibility and providing liquidity for their growth, which contributes to enhancing companies' brand identity and their access to a large segment of investors, and increasing chances of obtaining projects and investment opportunities. The workshop also addressed the requirements and mechanism of direct listing in the parallel market (Nomu).
This workshop comes as part of a series of awareness and educational activities through which the Commission aims to enhance its role in regulating the telecommunications and information technology sector, enhance the investment environment in this vital sector, and work to create effective initiatives and programs to educate and raise awareness among companies falling under the purview of the Communications and Information Technology Commission.
