Commission Stresses Application of Precautionary Measures and Intensifies Its Inspection Tours of Telecom, IT, Postal Service Providers, and Delivery Applications
The Communications and Information Technology Commission directed all providers of telecommunications, information technology, postal and logistics services, and delivery applications to enhance and double their compliance with the preventive procedures and measures recommended by the Ministry of Health to limit the spread of the novel coronavirus.
The Commission's inspection teams carried out inspection tours of companies, branches and points of sale belonging to service providers, to verify their compliance with the directives, and to detect violations in order to apply penalties against violators.
During the tours, the inspection teams stressed to service providers the need to raise the level of preventive awareness and education among all workers in the telecom, postal and delivery application sectors, and to apply distancing measures, wear masks, and measure the temperatures of employees and beneficiaries, and stressed the importance of activating all digital tools and alternatives.
