Commission Discusses Service Providers' Preparations for the Hajj Season

As part of the periodic meetings held by the Communications and Information Technology Commission with service providers, the tenth consultative meeting was held on Wednesday, 12 Dhu al-Qi'dah 1434H, chaired by the Governor of the Commission, Eng. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Darrab, to discuss a number of topics related to developing services in a way that fulfills the aspirations of beneficiaries and to follow up on developments in the sector. The meeting was attended by the heads of: the Saudi Telecom Group, Etihad Etisalat Company (Mobily), Mobile Telecommunications Company (Zain), Etihad Atheeb Telecom Company (GO), and Integrated Telecom Company, in addition to a number of specialists and officials from the Commission and those companies.

During this meeting, the companies' preparations to provide the best telecom services to the guests of God during this year's Hajj season were discussed, and it was confirmed that all arrangements and precautions had been completed to ensure the continuity and reliability of services. A number of topics related to subscriber services and ways to improve them were also discussed, including affirming the importance of facilitating the acquisition or cancellation of services. In addition, the importance of publishing all information related to the promotional offers presented by service providers, and clarifying it in a simplified manner that enables the subscriber to know the details of those offers before subscribing to them, was discussed.

His Excellency the Governor praised the successful implementation of the numbering plan for amending fixed-line telephone codes in all regions of the Kingdom, and the efforts made to achieve this.

It is noted that this consultative meeting is held periodically at the Commission's headquarters with the aim of communication and consultation between the Commission and service providers, in support of providing the best services to subscribers.
