Commission: What Was Published About the Entry of a New Telecom Service Provider Is Not True, Nor Is What Was Published About the Post

With reference to what has been circulated in a number of media outlets regarding statements made by His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz bin Salem Al-Ruwais, Governor of the Communications and Information Technology Commission, during his meeting with the Eastern Province Chamber, about the entry of a new service provider into the Saudi market, and about the Postal Corporation.

The Communications and Information Technology Commission would like to clarify that what was published about the entry of a new telecom service provider into the Saudi market is not true, and that what His Excellency stated was that the Commission is studying a request from one of the local telecom companies eligible to obtain a unified license from the Commission.
