CITC Announces the Release of a Public Consultation Document on Updating the Terms for Providing SMS Services

The Communications and Information Technology Commission today announced the release of a public consultation document on updating the terms for providing short message service (SMS), aiming to improve and develop the service provision terms to enhance competition in the telecom market and improve the user experience of the service.

The Commission invited all specialists and interested parties to review the consultation by visiting its website (www.cst.gov.sa). Participants are requested, when submitting their views, to refer to the paragraph or phrase they wish to comment on, supporting their views with relevant justifications, analyses, and necessary data, via email (smslicense@cst.gov.sa), noting that the last day to receive views is Tuesday 1440/5/9H corresponding to 2019/1/15.
