"CITC" Announces the Release of a Public Consultation Document on Updating the Technical Specifications for Telecom and IT Devices and Equipment

The Communications and Information Technology Commission announced the release of a public consultation document on updating the technical specifications for telecom and information technology devices and equipment.

The Commission explained that these specifications will define the technical characteristics and uses of all telecom and information technology devices and equipment manufactured or supplied to the Kingdom, and will be binding on all relevant parties.

The Commission also noted that, through updating the technical specifications for telecom and information technology devices and equipment, it seeks to keep pace with rapid technical developments and enable the deployment of the latest telecom and information technology services in the Kingdom, raise the quality of services used in these devices, and it will also contribute to enabling the deployment of the latest telecom and information technology technologies and applications to meet the needs of a digital Kingdom, and support the Commission's strategy of transforming into a digital regulator.

The Commission invited all specialists and interested parties, including telecom and information technology service providers, technology suppliers, technology investors, in addition to industrial entities and all public and private entities using telecom and information technology devices, to submit their views through the following link:
