CITC and the National Information Society Committee Organize a Training Program in China for Outstanding Students from 19 Saudi Universities
The Communications and Information Technology Commission and the National Information Society Committee, in cooperation with Huawei, are organizing the "Seeds for the Future" training program for outstanding students specializing in telecommunications and information technology with distinguished academic standing from (19) government universities across various regions of the Kingdom, during the period (from 12 to 23/11/1437H) at Huawei's headquarters in the People's Republic of China. The program aims to nurture the talents of university students in the field of telecommunications and information technology, in line with the efforts of the Communications and Information Technology Commission and the National Information Society Committee to qualify human resources working in the telecommunications and information technology sector. The program was launched in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz bin Salem Al-Ruwais, Governor of the Communications and Information Technology Commission and Chairman of the National Information Society Committee, His Excellency the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mr. Li Huaxin, as the guest of honor, the CEO of Huawei Saudi Arabia, Mr. Ramadan Deng, and the Vice President of Huawei Middle East for Public Affairs, Mr. Space Li.
The Commission and the Committee participated in preparing the training program, and explained that the program would discuss a number of technical topics and emerging trends in this field, including topics related to big data, cloud computing, industrial trends in the telecommunications and information technology sector, and related strategies. To ensure the smooth running of the program, the Commission is responsible for supervising the students and providing them with full support during the program, represented by Mr. Mohammed bin Hamed Al-Ma'arik from the Commission's General Department of International Affairs.
The training program will include meetings between the students and a group of Huawei executives, and visits to the company's laboratories and research centers, in addition to participating in practical experiences to illustrate theoretical concepts. In this context, His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz bin Salem Al-Ruwais, Governor of the Communications and Information Technology Commission and Chairman of the National Information Society Committee, thanked Huawei for its efforts in serving the community and its keenness to advance the telecommunications and information technology sector in the Kingdom, and urged the participating students to benefit from the experience in broadening their horizons and linking theoretical concepts with practical reality.
