CITC and the National Information Society Committee Launch the Third "Seeds for the Future" Training Program in Cooperation with Huawei

The Communications and Information Technology Commission and the National Information Society Committee, in cooperation with Huawei, today launched the "Seeds for the Future" training program in its third year, dedicated to training outstanding students in telecommunications and information technology disciplines, in the presence of Dr. Dhaifallah bin Ahmed Al-Zahrani, Acting Governor of the Communications and Information Technology Commission, Mr. Zhao Liuqing, Commercial and Economic Counselor at the Chinese Embassy in the Kingdom, and Mr. Dennis Zhang, CEO of Huawei.

The program aims to train and qualify a number of university students from (17) Saudi universities in the cities of Beijing and Shenzhen in the People's Republic of China during the program's duration, which runs from 21 Shawwal to 6 Dhul-Qi'dah 1438H, corresponding to July 15-29, 2017.

It is worth noting that this training program comes as part of the efforts of the Communications and Information Technology Commission and the National Information Society Committee to qualify human resources working in the telecommunications and information technology sector, particularly in emerging topics in the sector related to big data, cloud computing, industrial trends in the telecommunications and information technology sector, and smart network applications and their development.

In this context, Dr. Dhaifallah bin Ahmed Al-Zahrani, Acting Governor of the Communications and Information Technology Commission, thanked Huawei for its efforts in serving the community and its keenness to advance the telecommunications and information technology sector in the Kingdom, and urged the participating students to benefit from the experience in broadening their horizons and linking theoretical concepts with practical reality.
