CITC and Ministry of Education's "Safe Internet" Campaign Begins Its Second Phase from Riyadh
The Communications and Information Technology Commission, in partnership with the Ministry of Education, today launched the activities of the second phase of the "Safe Internet" awareness campaign for protecting children from the dangers of the internet, starting from the Model Education schools in the city of Riyadh, the first stop of this phase, through holding a training workshop for more than 200 male and female teachers on how to protect children from internet dangers, in addition to providing an introduction to cybercrime, how to avoid it, and the resulting penalties.
It is worth noting that the Communications and Information Technology Commission launched the "Safe Internet" campaign in partnership with the Ministry of Education in three phases across the Kingdom, aiming to raise awareness among students on how to obtain safe internet access, and to qualify a number of male and female teachers to become trainers and ambassadors of the campaign for their colleagues and students on how to achieve safe internet use.
It is noted that the first phase of this awareness campaign concluded last week in Jeddah through six interactive entertainment events divided among three cities, at Red Sea Mall in Jeddah, preceded by two events held in Riyadh at Granada Mall and in Al-Khobar at Al-Rashid Mall.
