Communications and Information Technology Commission wins Best Government Application in the Middle East award for 2017
The Communications and Information Technology Commission won the Best Government Application in the Middle East award for 2017 in the field of electronic business process automation, on the K2 platform specialized in providing business process management systems.
The Commission said the award aims to highlight the outstanding achievements of customers across the Middle East in the field of Business Process Automation on the K2 platform.
It is worth noting that the communications sector in the Kingdom has achieved leading positions on both the regional and international levels; the Kingdom ranked first in implementing and enabling the secure extension (DNSSEC) in the Middle East and North Africa region according to the global index for the use and activation of the secure extension around the world - endorsed by the Internet Society (ISOC), and achieved 3rd place in mobile communications services penetration rate, 7th place in the importance of communications and information technology to the government's future vision, 7th place in the extent of government success in encouraging the use of information and communications technology, and 15th place in the spread of broadband services over mobile communications networks, according to reports issued by the International Telecommunication Union.
