Communications Commission warns users against disclosing personal data

The Communications and Information Technology Commission today warned all users of mobile communications services and internet users against responding to any request claiming the user has won a cash prize and asking them to follow an untrusted website link, or transfer a sum of money to receive the prize, whether by phone call, text message, or social media.

The Commission called on all users of telecommunications services not to disclose personal data, so as not to fall victim to such fraud and scam operations, which aim to collect information through unregulated means.
