Communications Commission: Total complaints escalated to the Commission decreased by (9.4%)
The Communications and Information Technology Commission today issued the telecommunications service providers ranking index in terms of complaints escalated to the Commission from subscribers against service providers for the first quarter of 2018, where the index presents data on complaints received by the Commission from subscribers through its electronic system.
The telecommunications service providers ranking index in terms of complaints escalated to the Commission indicated a decrease in total complaints escalated to the Commission by an estimated (9.4%) compared to the fourth quarter of 2017, noting that complaints from subscribers were led by mobile voice communications and fixed internet services.
According to the ranking, Etihad Etisalat Company (Mobily) topped the list of most complained-about companies in mobile voice communications service, with an increase in the number of complaints estimated at (12.5%) over the fourth quarter of 2017, while Saudi Telecom Mobile Company (Zain) topped the mobile internet service complaints index with a decrease in the number of complaints estimated at (23.5%) over the fourth quarter of 2017.
On the fixed voice communications service front, the index ranked Saudi Telecom Company as the most complained-about, with a decrease in the number of complaints estimated at (29.8%) over the fourth quarter of 2017, while Etihad Atheeb Company (GO) topped the fixed internet service complaints index with a decrease in the number of complaints estimated at (26.9%) over the fourth quarter of 2017.
It is worth noting that the Communications and Information Technology Commission has been issuing the telecommunications service providers ranking index in terms of complaints escalated to the Commission from subscribers against service providers since the first quarter of 2017, with the aim of providing information to subscribers about the performance of telecommunications service providers in resolving their customers' complaints; enabling subscribers to choose the appropriate service provider, and enhancing transparency and competitiveness among telecommunications service providers to develop services and pay attention to their customers' complaints.
