Communications Commission renews its call to delivery companies to register their data

The Communications and Information Technology Commission renewed today its invitation to all app-based delivery companies to register their data on the Commission's website, with the aim of sharing with them the legislation and regulations related to their activity, and building business models that ensure sustainability and job localization, enhance competition, and protect user rights. This comes after the issuance of the Council of Ministers' decision entrusting the Commission with the regulatory jurisdiction over the postal sector, as well as supervisory jurisdiction, sector governance, market opening, and attracting investments.

The Commission said in a previous press statement that the Saudi postal and logistics services sector is a promising market that includes attractive opportunities for investment and innovation to develop services in a manner suited to today's needs and future aspirations, which will in turn drive the national economy and keep pace with the targets of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

It is noted that the Commission's invitation to all app-based delivery companies to register their data comes as part of the outcomes of the Postal and Logistics Services Empowerment Conference held in April of this year, to advance all services of this sector in the Kingdom.
