Communications and Information Technology Commission participates in the symposium "Documents Center: Establishment and Ambition"

The Communications and Information Technology Commission participated in the work of the symposium "Documents Center: Establishment and Ambition," held recently at King Saud University under the patronage of His Excellency Prof. Dr. Badran bin Abdulrahman Al-Omar, President of the University, and in the presence of the symposium's guest of honor, His Excellency Dr. Fahd bin Abdullah Al-Semmari, Advisor at the Royal Court and Secretary-General of the King Abdulaziz Foundation, overseeing the National Center for Documents and Archives. The symposium aimed to review the establishment and envision future ambitions, and to engage with society, including its government and civil institutions, and exchange expertise with them by presenting the latest developments in the field of document preservation and archiving.

The Commission's participation in this symposium stems from its keenness to advance the fields of documentation and preservation of official documents, and as part of its efforts to advance the level of information content and electronic archiving. Dr. Saeed Asiri, Director of the Documents Management Center at the Commission, delivered the main working paper at the symposium titled "The Documents Center at King Saud University: Establishment and Ambition," being one of the active participants in that establishment.

It is worth noting that the symposium was attended by six specialized companies and eight government entities, and mainly addressed the topic of preserving government documents and enabling access to information content in the easiest and fastest ways, preserving official documents, and organizing the university's documents as a model, representing a step towards development and benefiting from specialized experiences and expertise.
