Communications and Information Technology Commission participates in GITEX Riyadh 2012

The Communications and Information Technology Commission is participating with a dedicated pavilion at GITEX Riyadh 2012, held in the city of Riyadh at the Exhibition Center on King Abdullah Road during the period May 21-24, 2012.

The Commission is participating for the fifth consecutive time in its capacity as the regulator of the communications and information technology sector, given the attention this exhibition receives at various levels, in addition to the participation of a large number of local and international companies specialized in communications and information technology.

On the sidelines of the exhibition, the Commission, together with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, is holding a number of lectures addressing various topics related to communications and information technology, such as digital literacy, information security, and awareness of the optimal use of technology and communication tools, in addition to presenting some ways of benefiting from new communication applications for organizations and institutions.

Mr. Sultan Al-Malik, Director General of Public Relations and Media and Official Spokesperson for the Communications and Information Technology Commission, said that the Commission's participation in GITEX comes because it is one of the largest specialized exhibitions in the communications and information technology sector in the Kingdom, and provides a space for the Commission to fulfill one of its roles, namely introducing its tasks and activities and informing users and those interested of everything new about the sector in the Kingdom. He also invited esteemed attendees to visit the Commission's pavilion and learn more about what it does up close.
