Communications and Information Technology Commission: No Truth to What Al-Watan Newspaper Published Regarding a Study on Imposing Fees on Social Media Sites

The Communications and Information Technology Commission clarified that there is no truth to what Al-Watan newspaper published today regarding a study on imposing fees on social media sites.

The Commission affirms its keenness and commitment to expanding telecommunications and IT services and applications in a manner that meets the needs of users in the Kingdom and protects their interests and the public interest, in accordance with the tasks entrusted to it under the Telecommunications Law, its Executive Regulation, and other regulations in force in the Kingdom.
