Communications and Information Technology Commission: More Than 20 Million Successful Local and International Calls in Makkah

The Communications and Information Technology Commission today issued its statistical report on the performance of telecommunications networks in Makkah for the seventh day of Dhu al-Hijjah 1439H.

In detail, the report showed that the number of successful local and international calls exceeded 20 million, indicating that the call success rate indicator exceeded 99%.

The Commission noted that data download volume reached 1,476 terabytes, in addition to internet download speed reaching 26 Mbps, an improvement of 135% compared to the previous year, while upload speed reached approximately 10 Mbps, an improvement of 75% compared to the previous year.

The Commission added that the average daily per-capita data consumption in Makkah during the seventh day of Dhu al-Hijjah 1439H reached 308 megabytes, exceeding double the global average daily per-capita data consumption rate of 150 megabytes.
