"The Communications and Information Technology Commission" Meets with Postal Service Providers, Reviews the "Investor Guide"

The Communications and Information Technology Commission held a workshop dedicated to postal service providers to review the regulations, laws and legislation related to

parcel delivery licenses

, in addition to informing and raising the awareness of all interested investors and those wishing to invest about the application procedures for obtaining postal and logistics service licenses.

During the workshop, numerous topics related to postal services were reviewed, and the spotlight was placed on the

Investor Guide

for these services, along with an explanation of the regulatory rights and obligations of all parties. An introduction to licenses, their types, and the requirements for obtaining them was also presented, along with a clarification of the regulatory procedures for processing investment applications for postal service provision, divided into two stages during which the investment and the service's added value are studied, and the application's alignment with and fulfillment of regulatory obligations and controls is assessed, with a clarification of the expected timeline for these procedures. The workshop also included a presentation on the specifications of the "Investor Guide," which operates within a "safe space" framework aimed at minimizing risks to the greatest extent possible, in order to ensure an appropriate level of collective compliance with government controls, which aim to benefit all parties operating in the market.

It is worth noting that "the Communications and Information Technology Commission" seeks, through organizing numerous meetings and workshops, to strengthen and raise the level of awareness of regulations among investors and those interested in providing postal services, in addition to the Commission's efforts to improve and develop service quality, and regulate the entry of local and global service providers into the postal and logistics services sector to test new delivery solutions. The Commission is also working to strengthen protection mechanisms and open communication channels with all parties.
