Communications and Information Technology Commission Releases the Fourth Issue of Its Electronic Newsletter

At the end of Shawwal 1431H, the Communications and Information Technology Commission released the fourth issue of its quarterly electronic newsletter, concerned with tracking the most important developments in the second quarter of 2010 related to the telecommunications and IT sector in the Kingdom.

The fourth issue of the Commission's electronic newsletter included the latest performance indicator figures for the second quarter of 2010 relating to the number of subscribers and the growing penetration rates in mobile and fixed telecommunications services, in addition to statistics on the number of licenses and internet and broadband services. The issue also contained a number of special reports, such as a review of the Kingdom's position in the IT report issued by the World Economic Forum's (WEF) 2009-2010 annual report titled "The Sustainability of Telecommunications and Information Technology," in addition to the most important news the sector witnessed recently.

It is worth noting that the Communications and Information Technology Commission's electronic newsletter is a quarterly publication concerned with tracking the most important figures and indicators witnessed by the telecommunications and IT sector in the Kingdom, and it is available on the Commission's website at www.cst.gov.sa.
