Communications and Information Technology Commission Launches License for Providing IoT Virtual Network Operator (IoT-VNO) Services

The Communications and Information Technology Commission today launched the license for providing Internet of Things Virtual Network Operator (IoT-VNO) services to all interested sectors, whether private or public, with the aim of enabling automated connectivity between machines and devices, and assisting in gathering information to facilitate decision-making, forecasting, and emergency and crisis management, thereby contributing to faster access to information, interaction with it, and benefiting from it.

The Commission said that the conditions for obtaining the license to provide Internet of Things Virtual Network Operator (IoT-VNO) services set out the eligibility of licensees to obtain a Class (A) categorical license to provide IoT virtual network operator services, affirming that this license is an extension of its efforts to keep pace with the latest global technologies, develop the telecommunications market, and open the field while encouraging new companies to invest in the market.
