"The Communications and Information Technology Commission" Launches "Localization of Delivery Applications" Campaign
The Communications and Information Technology Commission, in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the Social Development Bank, the Human Resources Development Fund (Hadaf), the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha'at), and delivery applications registered with
the Communications and Information Technology Commission,
launched today the campaign for the localization of delivery applications, which aims to encourage citizens to join the delivery applications market in the Kingdom and give Saudi citizens the opportunity to capitalize on the growing demand for the service and diversify their income sources.
The Commission revealed that this campaign comes as part of comprehensive efforts to develop delivery application services, support and encourage the nation's youth to benefit from the concept of the "sharing economy" that the Commission follows in regulating delivery application services, by encouraging a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in the sector's operations, which is characterized by high dynamism and competitiveness; statistics indicate that total orders during the first quarter of this year, 2021, exceeded 28 million orders.
The Commission confirmed that all interested categories of Saudi citizens may join the delivery applications registered with it, noting that the approved list of applications can be viewed on
the Commission's website

This campaign is an extension of the supervisory and regulatory role played by the Communications and Information Technology Commission in the postal sector, and the invitation remains open to all citizens to make use of the delivery application services registered with it for shopping and securing their daily needs.
