Communications and Information Technology Commission Launches Its Services via the Maras Platform for Electronic Issuance of Telecommunications and IT Service Licenses
The Communications and Information Technology Commission, in cooperation with the Maras program, has completed the data linkage and exchange for 13 types of licenses for providing telecommunications and IT services, which are now issued electronically through the "Maras" platform, under the follow-up and supervision of the "Tayseer" Executive Committee for Improving Business Performance in the Private Sector, chaired by His Excellency the Minister of Commerce and Investment.
Through this electronic linkage, the Communications and Information Technology Commission looks forward to improving the investment environment in the Kingdom and facilitating the issuance of licenses for investors in the sector to practice service provision, through streamlined electronic procedures via the unified national platform (Maras), in a manner that serves the Kingdom's direction toward digital transformation and raises the Kingdom's ranking in global indices.
It is worth noting that this electronic linkage will contribute to streamlining and developing the procedures for issuing telecom licenses in accordance with the International Standard Industrial Classification of economic activities adopted by the General Authority for Statistics, in keeping with the digital transformation initiatives stemming from Saudi Vision 2030.
