'Commission' Checks Network Performance Levels in Tourist Areas Coinciding with the Launch of Saudi Summer 2021

The Communications and Information Technology Commission conducted field tours covering many tourist sites, points of sale, and branches of telecom companies, in integration with relevant government entities in Taif governorate and the Al-Baha, Asir, and Jazan regions, which are witnessing a notable influx of citizen and resident tourists, with a resulting increase in demand for telecom services in those areas, coinciding with the launch of the Saudi Summer 2021 season.

The Commission revealed that it conducted many technical surveys at tourist sites; to measure coverage quality and verify the integrity of frequencies, and directed telecom service providers to raise the readiness level of services in those areas; to accommodate the increased demand for data during this period, and also formed technical teams to prepare daily reports on network performance in tourist areas.

These tours come as part of the "Communications and Information Technology Commission's" work on improving the quality of telecom services and improving the user experience, and supporting government entities' efforts in encouraging domestic tourism and providing all services in various tourist and recreational sites with high quality.
