Commission Holds a Workshop for the Business Telecom Sector

His Excellency the Governor of the Communications and Information Technology Commission, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Salem Al-Ruwais, opened today at the Commission's headquarters in Riyadh a workshop titled "The Business Telecom Sector... Between Ambition and Challenges," which aims to enhance cooperation between telecom service providers and the government and private sectors, attended by representatives of several government entities and licensed telecom companies in the Kingdom.

In his opening remarks, His Excellency Dr. Al-Ruwais affirmed the Commission's role in fostering joint cooperation among all parties contributing to building this sector, including service providers and entities benefiting from the business sector. He also affirmed the importance of these entities' presence at the discussion table, which is considered one of the first indicators of its success and the effectiveness of its outcomes.

His Excellency the Governor of the Communications and Information Technology Commission noted, in his speech, that this workshop represents "a launch of a phase of fruitful cooperation, for the sake of advancing the business sector, and enabling entities to adopt digital transformation mechanisms, which is one of the most important targets of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, and one of the top priorities of the telecommunications and information technology system, represented by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and the Communications and Information Technology Commission."

The telecom service providing companies presented visual presentations on the business sector and their targets for covering its needs. Representatives of the business sector and service providers also held an open discussion session on the challenges facing the business sector, and their most important solutions, in addition to service quality, and the appropriateness of their prices.
