"CITC" Conducts Inspection Tours of Postal and Logistics Service Providers' Branches

The Communications and Information Technology Commission conducted a number of inspection tours of the branches of postal and logistics service providers, to verify the level of compliance with the Commission's regulations and decisions.

The inspection tours resulted in the detection of a number of violations of the beneficiary protection rules document, including imposing fees not previously disclosed in contracts, and failing to preserve the contents of postal items, and the Commission took regulatory action against the violating companies.

The Commission affirmed to postal and logistics service providers the necessity of complying with the provisions of the beneficiary protection rules document for postal services, noting its work to strengthen beneficiary protection mechanisms through a number of mechanisms, including conducting inspection tours to detect violating practices, and applying the Commission's regulations and decisions in the branches and centers of postal and logistics service providers, in addition to receiving complaints from beneficiaries of postal and logistics services through the Commission's website: https://www.cst.gov.sa or by calling: 19966
