CITC Announces the Telecom Service Providers Complaints Ranking Index for Q2 2017
The Communications and Information Technology Commission today launched
the index ranking telecom service providers by complaints escalated to the Commission
from subscribers against service providers, whereby the index displays data on complaints received by the Communications and Information Technology Commission from subscribers through its electronic system. Etihad Etisalat Company (Mobily) topped the mobile voice communications service index (most complaints), while Saudi Telecom Mobile Company (Zain) topped the mobile internet service index (most complaints); regarding fixed voice communications service, Saudi Telecom Company topped the index (most complaints), while Etihad Atheeb Company (GO) topped the fixed internet service index (most complaints).
The Communications and Information Technology Commission stated that its goal in issuing the telecom service providers ranking index (in terms of complaints escalated to the Commission) is to provide subscribers with information about the performance of telecom service providers in resolving their customers' complaints, enabling subscribers to choose the appropriate service provider, in addition to enhancing transparency and competitiveness among telecom service providers to develop their services and pay attention to their customers' complaints.
