CITC Announces the Results of the Second Public Auction for (700, 800, 1800) MHz Frequency Bands

The Communications and Information Technology Commission announced today, Sunday 25 Jumada Al-Ula 1439H, corresponding to February 11, 2018, the conclusion of the public auction for the (700, 800, 1800) MHz frequency bands, in which the companies licensed to provide mobile telecom services in the Kingdom participated (Saudi Telecom Company, Etihad Etisalat Company "Mobily," Saudi Telecom Mobile Company "Zain") to obtain licenses to use frequencies for providing the latest mobile telecom services.

The Commission explained that the participating companies will be able to obtain frequencies with a total bandwidth of (80) MHz in the (700, 800, 1800) MHz bands.

The Commission said that offering these frequencies will help meet the growing demand for mobile telecom services, and improve the speed and quality of internet connectivity.
