The Commission explained that these guides aim to provide individual subscribers, the business sector, and government entities with the basic concepts of "cloud computing" services, and to provide examples and information regarding the provisions and benefits of the regulatory framework, in addition to clarifying the procedures and requirements for registration and the entities required to register with the Commission, with detailed information included in a special guide for cloud computing service providers that can be accessed through the Commission's website by interested parties.
It is noted that the Communications and Information Technology Commission issued the cloud computing regulatory framework on 20/5/1439H after studying and evaluating other countries' experiences and taking public views into account, with the regulatory framework entering into force tomorrow, Thursday 20/6/1439H, (30) days after its publication to the public.
