CITC Announces Public Consultation on the Regulatory Framework for the Parental Control Service

Out of the Communications and Information Technology Commission's keenness to improve the experience of users of telecom and information technology services in line with the developments in this vital sector, it announces the release of

a public consultation on the regulatory framework for the parental control service

which provides parents and educational institutions with tools and specifications that help protect children when using the internet, on its website, in order to gather public views on it.

To organize the process of requesting views, the Commission welcomes all views and comments submitted, and invites concerned parties to submit their views as well as answers to the specific numbered questions in this document. The Commission also urges the public to submit all their comments and views on the questions in detail, supported by justifications, if any, provided that the data and information submitted are based on the current situation or based on relevant international experiences and studies. Note that the views submitted are not binding on the Commission.
