Communications Commission: (30,600) Terabytes of Data Consumption During the 1439H Hajj Season

The Communications and Information Technology Commission issued today the statistics on the performance of communications networks in Makkah and Madinah during (1-13 Dhu al-Hijjah 1439H). In detail, the statistics showed that, praise be to God, the performance of communications networks recorded high levels, with the number of local and international calls reaching (439) million, indicating that the call success rate index exceeded 99%, via (16,000) base stations (telecom towers).

The Commission indicated that the volume of data downloaded reached (30,600) terabytes, an increase estimated at 32% over last year, in addition to the internet download speed in Makkah reaching (26.45 Mbps), an improvement of (128%) compared to last year, while the internet download speed in Madinah reached (31.59 Mbps), an improvement of (200%) compared to last year.
