Communications Commission: 24 Million Successful Local and International Calls on the Eighth Day of Dhu al-Hijjah in Makkah
The Communications and Information Technology Commission issued today the statistics on the performance of communications networks in Makkah for the eighth day of Dhu al-Hijjah 1439H. In detail, the report showed that the number of successful local and international calls exceeded (24) million, indicating that the call success rate index exceeded 99%.
The Commission indicated that the volume of data downloaded reached (1,467) terabytes, in addition to the internet download speed reaching 24 Mbps, an improvement of (94%) compared to last year, while the upload speed reached about (11 Mbps), an improvement of (42%) compared to last year.
The Commission added that the average individual's daily data consumption rate in Makkah during the eighth day of Dhu al-Hijjah 1439H reached (301 megabytes), exceeding twice the global average individual daily data consumption rate of (150 megabytes), noting that the most data-consuming applications were (YouTube, Snapchat, Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram).
