CITC: 1946 terabytes are data consumed in Makkah Al Mukarramah On the day seventh of Dhu al-Hijjah;

CITC revealed statistics of the performance of telecommunication networks in Makkah for the seventh day of Dhu al-Hijjah 1440-2019 where data consumption reached 1946 terabytes with a rise of 32 % compared to last year. This is equivalent to watching more than 797thousand hours of video footage at 1080p HD resolution.

The statistics also included average of daily data consumption per person in Makkah during the seventh day of Dhu al-Hijjah 1440 A H-2019. The average rate reached (347 MB / subscriber) compared to daily global data consumption rate per person (180 MB / subscriber), noting that the most popular applications are (in order): YouTube, Facebook, Snap Chat, WhatsApp, Instagram.

The statistics additionally mentioned that average Internet download speed reached (43.78) in Makkah, achieving an improvement rate of (68%) compared to last year. The number of domestic calls reached (17 millions) while international calls reached (4.8 millions ) with success rate of 99%.
