The Communications, Space, and Technology Commission announced the extension of the "Donate Your Device" initiative and the continued reception of electronic devices from the public until March 30th. This follows contributions of over 60,000 devices so far. The initiative aims to achieve environmental sustainability, reduce electronic waste, enhance social responsibility, and enable needy families to obtain recycled electronic devices.

The Commission pointed out that the public's interaction with this initiative highlights the community's awareness of the importance of environmental sustainability and the responsibility they hold toward its members. The initiative has seen active participation from various business sectors, along with many individuals who were keen to join through the available channels.

The Commission clarified that the devices covered by the initiative include mobile phones, tablets, landline phones, modems, desktop and laptop computers, and printers, and they can be donated through the dedicated website for the initiative: The website for the initiative

It is worth noting that the Commission launched the initiative in collaboration with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the National Waste Management Center "Mwan," and the private sector. This step aims to reduce electronic waste, lower future raw material costs, preserve the Kingdom's natural resources, and achieve sustainability in line with the circular economy principle.
