After participants contributed more than 50,000 devices, the "Donate Your Device" initiative continues to receive electronic devices until the end of January.

The Communications, Space, and Technology Commission announced the continuation of the "Donate Your Device" initiative to receive electronic devices from the public, following contributions of over 50,000 devices so far. The initiative aims to achieve environmental sustainability, reduce electronic waste, enhance social responsibility, and enable needy families to obtain recycled electronic devices.

The Commission renewed its invitation for the donation of unused electronic devices before the initiative ends on January 31, 2023. It clarified that the devices included in the initiative are mobile phones, tablets, landline phones, modems, desktop and laptop computers, and printers, through the dedicated website for the initiative:

It is worth noting that the Commission launched the initiative in collaboration with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the National Waste Management Center "Mwan," and the private sector, as part of efforts to reduce electronic waste, lower future raw material costs, preserve the Kingdom's natural resources, and achieve sustainability in line with the circular economy principle.
