Acting Governor of "The Communications Commission" Meets with His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Research, Innovation, and Digital Policy of the Republic of Cyprus

The Acting Governor of the Communications and Information Technology Commission, Mr. Abdullah Al-Zahrani, met at the Commission's headquarters in Riyadh with His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Research, Innovation, and Digital Policy of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Kyriacos Kokkinos, in the presence of the Cypriot Ambassador to the Kingdom, Mr. Stavros Avgoustides, to enhance joint cooperation in the fields of communications, information technology, research, and innovation between the two countries.

During the meeting, opportunities for developing cooperation to benefit from technical and scientific capabilities in the Kingdom were discussed, along with the exchange of expertise in the fields of research and innovation and harnessing them to support other sectors, in addition to reviewing the Commission's experience in launching the regulatory sandbox for emerging technologies. The meeting also discussed the possibility of signing a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the fields of communications, information technology, research, and innovation.

This visit comes as an extension of joint cooperation between the two countries in facing challenges, sharing achievements, and unifying international efforts to harness technical solutions and support the digital economy.
