Communications Commission Reviews Regulatory Procedures for Practicing "Postal Services" Activities in the Kingdom
The Communications and Information Technology Commission held an introductory workshop via video conference on "postal services sector activities and licenses," to shed light on the regulatory procedures for practicing the sector's activities in the Kingdom, attended by a group of interested parties, investors, and representatives of a number of establishments operating in the field.
During the workshop, the Commission's regulatory and supervisory tasks for the postal services sector
and the licensed companies in the Kingdom to provide these activities were reviewed, along with the regulatory documents for parcel transport services, the types of licenses and the electronic licensing service via the Commission's website, in addition to the investor journey in this sector, in an effort to develop these services and improve the investor's experience with them.
The regulatory documents for providing delivery services via electronic platforms, the most prominent applications registered in the Kingdom, and the registration mechanism for providing the service were also reviewed.
The plan of future procedures for parcel lockers linked to digital platforms licensed by the Commission and their various features for practicing these activities in a safe and stimulating regulatory environment was also reviewed.
