Communications Commission Conducts 1,341 Inspection Tours in the Telecommunications and Postal Sectors

The Communications and Information Technology Commission announced that its monitoring teams conducted 1,341 inspection tours during the past month of April, to verify compliance with regulations and precautionary procedures among service providers in the communications and information technology sector and the postal services sector.

The Commission explained that the inspection tours covered numerous sales outlets and branches of service providers in a number of regions of the Kingdom, resulting in the detection of 145 violations.

It is worth noting that the inspection tours come within the framework of the "Communications Commission's" work to enhance user protection mechanisms in the communications and postal sectors, in addition to keeping pace with joint government efforts to limit the spread of the novel coronavirus, and emphasizing the importance of raising the level of compliance with precautionary measures in all branches and sales outlets of service providers. The Commission also affirmed the continuity of inspection tours by its monitoring teams, and the adoption of the necessary corrective measures against all detected violations.
