The Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST) organized the Space Challenge Camp in October 2023 to train undergraduate students and fresh graduates in space science and engineering, as part of its role in empowering national capabilities in the space sector.
The camp ran for ten days starting on 8 October 2023 in two phases: five virtual days, followed by five in-person days at Mohammed Bin Salman Nonprofit City (Misk) in Riyadh.
More than 100 national innovators took part, receiving hands-on training from space experts and specialists and competing to design innovative solutions to the challenges faced by astronauts and participants in human spaceflight missions.
The camp concluded with H.E. Dr. Mohammed bin Saud Altamimi, Governor of CST, honoring the qualified teams, and participants received attendance certificates accredited by CST.
The camp reflects CST's drive to stimulate innovation, inspire future generations and advance the Kingdom's ambitions to lead in the space sector.
