Service's Goal
A service licensed by the Communications, Space and Technology Commission and registered with the Saudi Search and Rescue Center. It enables users to send distress signals from areas without public communication networks using a Personal Locator Beacon (PLB), in collaboration with the General Authority of Civil Aviation and the Saudi Air Navigation Services.
PLB Features
- Covering all areas in the Kingdom including remote and unconnected areas with the public communications networks
- Identify and locate the service requester via satellites
- Facilitate the searching and rescuing operations in the Kingdom and accelerate response to the service requester
How to obtain the service?
To obtain a PLB license for companies
By submitting a “Search and Rescue (SAR) Service License” application
