CST Role in Connected Vehicle Services
- CST is the regulator of IoT technology in the Kingdom, including connected vehicle services as one of IoT applications
- CST is regulating the telecommunications and information technology (ICT) sector in the Kingdom by implementing the policies, regulations, and programs aimed at developing information technology and emerging technologies.
- It sets the appropriate procedures and proposes regulations related to IT and emerging technologies and amendments to such regulations and get them approved by the competent authorities
- CST also works to enable and ensure a fair competitive environment
- Issues the necessary licenses in accordance with the relevant terms and regulations
- Provide an attractive environment for local and international investors
- Localize all IoT services, including connected vehicle
- Encouraging reliance on its solutions and technologies in the Kingdom to promote performance, productivity, flexibility, and quality of services for all beneficiaries in the Kingdom
