What is CST’s role in IoT?
CST is the regulator of IoT in the Kingdom. CST’s role is to regulate ICT sector in the Kingdom by implementing policies, regulations and programs adopted for development of IT and emerging technologies, developing appropriate procedures and proposing regulations related to IT and emerging technologies together with their amendments and working to getting them approved by the competent authorities, in addition to enabling and ensuring a fair competitive environment in the market, as well as issuing necessary licenses in accordance with the related conditions and regulations. CST seeks to provide the appropriate environment to attract local and international investors, and localize IoT services, in addition to stimulating reliance on its solutions and technologies in the Kingdom to improve performance, productivity, flexibility and quality of services for all beneficiaries in the Kingdom.
