CST aims to issue the updated DMD Regulations and the updated MDDD report, to ensure that it is using a competition regulation tool that is:- reflective of the current market dynamics- in line with international best practices- efficient at ensuring healthy competition is maintained in the different markets
As part of the periodic review and update of the MDDD, CST intends to conduct an in-depth evaluation of its current methodology to designate dominant service providers in the telecom markets; therefore, it will:1- Update the regulatory framework for designation of markets and dominance issued in the year of 2010. 2- Review of all the markets under the current scope of the MDDD.3- Evaluate the current competitive dynamics in the Kingdom’s telecom market. As a result, CST will issue an updated version of the regulatory framework and report.
