The Digital Regulations Academy is conducting a training program on impact assessments for digital regulations and public policies.

The Digital Regulations Academy, affiliated with the Communications, Space, and Technology Commission, conducted the training program “Introduction to Impact Assessment.” The program aims to introduce the fundamental elements of impact assessment and raise awareness of best monitoring practices to enhance the development of digital policies and regulations.

The training program was delivered by international experts and involved the participation of 13 beneficiary entities from the government sector, as well as telecommunications and technology service providers in the Kingdom, including members of the National Regulations Committee. Over three days, the program covered best practices, strengths, and weaknesses in impact assessment, including stakeholder consultation and engagement, the role of monitoring in policymaking, case studies, future trends, and cost-benefit analysis of regulatory impact.

The program was designed and developed by the Digital Regulations Academy to address existing gaps in regulations. It represents one of the academy’s initiatives aimed at enhancing the efficiency of national talents, developing the capabilities of leaders in digital regulations, and fostering alignment and integration between regulators and global institutions through strategic partnerships. This initiative seeks to leverage best practices and expertise while elevating the services of local entities to new horizons.
